Remark at the Opening Ceremony of ISUSW 2021 Mona Khoury-Kassabri Dean and Professor, School of Social Work and Social Welfare The Hebrew Universityof Jerusalem Hello, everyone, thank you for giving us this opportunity, and maybe our students, and they, as you all know, we are delighted to be part of this Summer University in social work. uh, we have been part of it for several years, and our students have participated in several courses in India in  Switzerland. and also, we hosted one school here in Israel, and we are looking forward to host it again, and also where our students were also part of the online courses, which we are very happy that they were able to do it despite the time differences, which challenges everyone here,and we can see that. So we believe, we asked each course that our students participate in,we asked them for their feedback, and it was very clear that our students have learned a lot from these courses，and we believe that this international courses, especially that focus in international social work that students are exposed to many opportunities to learn about social work in different places, are very important for their learning and for their future, as social workers. We can’t teach social work, especially in these days, and the pandemic just emphasized that, only by looking at what we have in our countries, we have to see what happens everywhere and to learn one from each other. so I hope that this whole collaboration between all of us, between all the countries in this important initiative, it would continue, and I want to wish you all a successful course, especially for our students, the hours like yours and ours. And also, I would like to thank again the organizers for making this happen, despite all the challenges that we have also by having online course , and with all that the differences, the time differences, and I hope that our next meeting will be in there soon. Hopefully everyone will be healthy, and will be able to meet. so thank you everyone and looking forward to meeting the all of you.
